Accident injures work crew

Two members of a city of Bedford work crew repairing a water line break were injured Monday night when a car struck one of the men and rammed into the back of their dump truck.

Johnny Cash, 31, was airlifted to Lynchburg General Hospital Monday with injuries to his arm, according to Bedford Police Captain Stephen Rizzuto. He remained at the hospital Tuesday morning.
