Bedford's library system has a history exhibit that's fit to be tied: aprons.
The aprons come from CeCe Guida's collection which she has been assembling for 30 years and date from an example from the 1870s up to modern pieces. Some are displayed on dresses of the same vintage as the apron. One, a linen apron from 1901 is displayed on a long brown cotton dress with puffy shoulders made for a small woman with a narrow waist.
