Barry Bonds' plight--Commentary

So, Barry Bonds was indicted by a federal grand jury last week. Is anybody surprised?

I'm no Barry Bonds fan, nor am I an apologist for the man. In my opinion, he is a gifted athlete who has shown zero regard for the fans. His selfishness is legion. Also, it is obvious that the guy bulked up somehow.

I question the merit of putting Bonds behind bars. This has been a witch hunt, plain and simple. And Bonds makes a pretty good witch. Now, the talking heads are wringing their hands, decrying the end of baseball as we know it.
