Bulletin update: Suspect arrested in Forest robbery at Quik-E Food Mart

Bedford County Sheriff’s investigators arrested James Robert Wilson Thursday evening and charged him with Monday night’s robbery of the Quik-E Food Mart in Forest.


Wilson, 33, was arrested in the Forest area after investigators received a call from an citizen advising of his possible whereabouts. Wilson is a transient and has no known address. He is being held in the Bedford Adult Detention Center on no bond.

At 10:05 p.m. Monday night, Bedford County 911 dispatchers received a call from the Quik-E Food Mart in Forest reporting a robbery. The caller advised that a black male with black framed glasses, carrying a gray sweater and wearing jeans and black T-shirt entered the store. He threatened the clerk and demanded money. After getting the money, the suspect left on foot and ran towards Graves Mill Road behind the store.

Bedford County investigators are attempting to locate a possible witness to the robbery at the Quik-E Food Mart Monday night. The witness is a white male driving a early to mid '90s model dark colored Chevrolet pick-up truck with a standard cab. The vehicle has distinguishing large decals (4X4) with a red stripe through it on the side.

  The driver of the truck is not a suspect, but could possibly have information on the suspect. Anyone with information of the identity of the witness is asked to contact Inv. Scott Arney at the 540-586-7827.
