Is your business in compliance with Federal and State Requirements for reporting Hazardous Materials?
Did you know that every year that businesses with large quantities of on site hazardous materials are required to report chemical types and quantities stored to the local fire department, local emergency planning committee (LEPC) and the state?  This requirement falls under the SARA Title III Program for Section 311 - Material Safety Data Sheet Submission, & Section 312 - Emergency and Hazardous Chemical Inventory Reporting.
If your business uses chemicals or hazardous materials in quantity, you should visit:
http://www.deq.state.va.us/sara3/311312.html to determine if you are in compliance.  You should also submit the appropriate reports to the local LEPC at: LEPC-Bedford County Fire & Rescue, 1305 Falling Creek Road, Bedford, VA 24523.
The LEPC will insure copies are delivered to the responding fire department.  Thank you for your help in ensuring Bedford County is a safe place to live and work.
