Calls picking up in March

-A A +A

Forest Vol. Fire Department

February was a slower month than January for Forest VFD with 32 calls for service but March is starting off busy with 13 calls in seven days thus far.
We welcome Cameron Byrd as a new member to the department. Members are taking several different training classes throughout the area to enhance their knowledge and skills. We are also constantly fundraising; our February  stew was a success and we thank all that participated. Also be on the lookout for information on our next gun raffle coming soon.
Our next fundraiser is March 15 and is another Brunswick Stew. It will be from 12-3 p.m. at the firehouse. Stew is $8 a quart and will be ready at noon on a first-come, first-serve basis. No early pick-ups will be allowed.
Also on March 15 come see us at the Patriot Fair at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.. We will have a truck and equipment on display and answer any questions you may have. As always we thank the community for their continued support.
