Cell tower extension gets thumbs up

    Bedford County’s planning commission unanimously recommended Monday approval of a request by Verizon to increase the height of one of its cell towers by 15 feet. The tower is located off Bethany Church Circle in Forest. The existing tower is 80-feet tall and extending its height requires approval by the Board of Supervisors.
