VBS at Staunton Baptist
Vacation Bible School @ Staunton Baptist Church. June 25-29, 9 a.m. to noon. Children 4 years old through sixth grade are invited to attend for a fun filled time of learning "Amazing Wonders Aviation." Info: 540-297-6753.

Revival services
The congregation of Calvary Baptist Church will hold revival services beginning on Sunday, June 24 at 9:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. and nightly at 7 p.m. Sunday.-Wednesday, June 27 with Dr. Jim Sumpter, pastor/evangelist.
Dr. Sumpter and his wife have served in the Landmark Baptist Church in Richmond, since 1969. He became pastor of the church in 1973 until 2006, at which time their son, Don, became pastor of the great ministries of Landmark. They founded the Jim Sumpter Ministries in 2001 as church and mission evangelist.
The Sumpters' desire is to assist pastors and churches with the knowledge and experience God has allowed them to gain through 33 years of pastoring, teaching and administration of a large Christian school, being involved in planting over 130 churches, an aggressive mission program, and teaching Christian stewardship and soul winning.
Calvary Baptisit Church is located at 800 Smith Street in Bedford, where Ray Lyons, Sr. is pastor.

VBS at Lighthouse FWBC
Vacation Bible School June 18 - 22.  Hours are 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.  Friday night will be Family Night to include a picnic and Matt The Puppetman.  Activities will include worship, Bible study, music, crafts, recreation and snacks.  The church address is 942 Burks Hill Road, Bedford, located across from Liberty Lake Park. Homecoming and Revival
The Shiloh Baptist Church Revival will be held June 13-15. On June 13-15, devotion services will start at 7:30 p.m. On Wednesday, evening services will start at 8 p.m. The Rev. Carlton Johnson will be the guest speaker; and on Thursday and Friday evenings, the Rev. Dr. Charles Dunning, Pastor of Jericho Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker.

Vacation Bible School at Lake Side Church of the Brethren

Soccer Camp
Morgans Baptist Church is having its annual Soccer Camp on June 24-June 28 at 5:30-8:45 p.m.
This program introduces soccer to beginners and builds skills in participants with soccer experience while learning God’s Word. Ages 3 through 6th grade may participate. This is a free program and includes a light supper each evening.  Pre-registration is required. Registration forms are available at www.morgansbaptist.com or by calling (540)297-4959 no later than June 11 to get the free camp T-shirt. Athletic shoes (or tennis shoes of some kind) are required. Shin guards recommended. If your child has a soccer ball, please bring it for their use.

31st Pastoral Anniversary services
The Emmanuel Tabernacle Baptist Church Apostolic Faith in Moneta, will be celebrating the 31st Pastoral Anniversary of their pastor, Bishop E.M. Mitchell on Sunday, July 1 through Sunday July 8. This week of services will begin Sunday, July 1 at 3 p.m. with guest minister Bishop Tony Michell from Powerhouse of Faith, Roanoke. The nightly services will be at 7 p.m. with guest speakers as follows: Monday, Pastor Pat Harriston from Glorious Church #2, Roanoke; Tuesday, Eld. Queen Gregory, Leesville; Wednesday, Eld. Earl Michell from Mt. Calvary, Rocky Mt.; Thursday, pastor Charles Woodall from By Faith Worship Center, Roanoke; Friday, Spirit of Joy Singers, Chatam; and Saturday, pastor Roy Gunn from Rock Ridge Baptist Church. The services will conclude on Sunday, July 8 at 3 p.m. with guest minister Dr. Emmitt Patterson and choir from Paige, W.Va.

Yard sale
Sunday School rooms are turned into shops of men, women and children’s clothes and even a jewelry/purse boutique room! Household goods, some furniture,  electronics , etc.  will be  bargains for you to check out too. Child care will be provided free  for your kids so you can shop while they play in the Fun Room. Stop by between 7 a.m. and noon on June 16 at  Mountain View United Methodist Church , 1077 View Point Lane. Baked goods. Proceeds benefit missions and church ministry groups.   Donations will be accepted the week prior to the sale  and can be dropped off at the church. Community Day
Community Day will be held at Olive Branch Baptist Church on June 16, at 10 a.m. Fun for all, featuring a Moonwalk, games, basketball and food.

Sunday, June 17

Homecoming
New Life Baptist Church will hold its homecoming on June 17 at 3 p.m. The Rev. William Goode will be rendering the morning service and the Rev. Charles Wolfolk from White Oake Grove Baptist Church will be rendering the evening services. Lunch will follow after the morning services at Bedford Middle School.

New Zoin Baptist Church Homecoming
The New Zoin Baptist Church, located in the Body Camp Community, will be observing its annual Homecoming on June 17, at 11:30 a.m. The church pastor Dr. J.D. Holland will preach the morning sermon. The Rev. Coleman H. Wright and choir from the First Baptist Church MT Airy will be the preacher for the afternoon service.

Freedom Trio
Halesford Baptist Church, (2485 lost Mountain Rd, Wirtz), will present the Freedom Trio, on June 23 at 7 p.m. The concert is free, a love offering will be received. For further information, call 540-719-1538.

131st anniversary celebration
Olive Branch Baptist Church will observe the 131st anniversary on Sunday, June 24. 2:30 p.m. service by the Rev. Kevin Edwards from New Hope United Methodist Church.

Pancake Supper
