Trinity Baptist VBS

Trinity Baptist Church, Bedford, will be holding a daytime Vacation Bible School June 20-24 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Join them for “Gold Rush, ages 2-12. The kickoff will be Saturday, June 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the finale will be Sunday, June 26 during the 11 a.m. worship service. Register online at www.trinitybaptistchurchbedford.com.

 

VBS at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Bedford

August 7-10, Vacation Bible School, “Growing With God”, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 314 North Bridge Street, Bedford. Growing With God will be held evenings beginning Sunday, August 7 continuing through Wednesday, August 10. Each evening will include dinner and then a program for all ages, children and adults. There will be music, drama, games and much more. Sign up early by contacting the Church Office at (540) 586-9582 for a registration form. When you register, indicate if you would like infant care for this event.

 

VBS Wednesdays and Kids Fest

EastLake Community Church will hold VBS Wednesdays from 6:30-8 p.m. beginning on Wednesday, June 22. On Wednesday June 22 and 29, July 20 and 27 and August 3 and 10, children (ages preschool – 12) from throughout the area are invited to participate in the VBS experience “Pandamania: Where God is Wild About You” at EastLake Community Church, 1118 Hendricks Store Rd. in Moneta. In addition, a special Kids Fest will be held July 26-29 in the evenings from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m., with a VBS, special activities for kids (ages 5-13) and other special events. The Kids Fest will be held under the tent on the church property just past the church facility on Hendricks Store Road. Vacation Bible School

The Egypt File, Decoding the Mystery of Life. There's a mystery afoot. Explore the marvels of ancient Egypt, unravel Bible clues that lead to the discovery we were specially created by God for the purpose of loving and serving Him. Vacation Bible School will be June 20-24 from 6-9 p.m. Ages 2 through going into 6th grade. Summer Bible School

Prayer Outreach Ministries will have Summer Bible School starting June 20 - July 8, for ages 5 years and up, Monday - Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Located at 224 South Bridge Street across from Vista Foods. For enrollment call and leave message at (540) 586-3663.

 

Homecoming and Revival

Shiloh Baptist Church will be having Revival services.

Revival services begin June 15-17. Services will start at 7:30 p.m. Prayer and Praise services will start at 7 p.m. The Revival speakers and the choirs that will accompany them are: Wednesday - the Rev. Terry Echols, pastor, Forest Level Baptist Church, Forest, and the Forest Level Male Chorus; Thursday - the Rev. Dr. Ronald Baker, pastor, Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, Forest, and the Chestnut Grove Male Chorus; and Friday - the Rev. Preston Tyler, pastor, First Baptist Church, Clifton Forge, and the Clifton Forge Male Chorus.

Epworth United Methodist Church Annual Giveaway

June 18, 8 a.m., in Thaxton. Epworth UMC will be holding its annual giveaway on June 18 from 8 a.m. until noon. This event looks just like a yard sale, but everything is free. Furniture, household goods, clothing, all free. Call 586-3407 for more information.

 

Concert

The English Family Gospel Singers will be in concert at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Body Camp on June 18 at 6 p.m.

 

Sunday, June 19

 

Homecoming

On Sunday, June 19, the New Life Baptist Church, Bedford, will be celebrating Homecoming. The morning service preacher will be the Rev. William Goode, followed by lunch at the Bedford Middle School Cafeteria. Evening services will be preached by William Goode, Jr. from Jacksonville, FL. Special guest choir will be C-Street Baptist Church, Lynchburg. The pastor is the Rev. William Goode.

 

Saturday, June 25

 

Fish Fry

Otterville United Methodist Church will have a Fish Fry, June 25, 5 - 7 p.m. Adults- $9, under 12- $4, under 6- free. All You Can Eat (Take-Outs available). Flounder, french fries, cole slaw, hush puppies, potato salad, beverage, dessert. The church is located at 6524 Big Island Highway, (Rt. 122 N.)

Nicopolis 100th Anniversary

Nicopolis United Methodist Church will be having a 100th Anniversary at 11 a.m. June 26. There will be a covered dish lunch at 12:45 p.m. Join with friends, pastor and former pastors.

 

Fellowship service

A Fellowship Service will be held at Freedom Outreach Ministries, 212 East Washington St., Bedford on June 26 at 3 p.m. Guest minister will be Co-Pastor Robert Paxton from the Living Water Baptist Church of Vinton along with his church family. Church anniversary celebration

Olive Branch Baptist Church will be celebrating its 130th anniversary on June 26. The Rev. Alvin Smith will conduct the 11 a.m. service. Lunch will be served. The afternoon service at 2:30 p.m. will be conducted by the Rev. James D. Holland, with one of his choir's accompanying him. The church is located at the corner of Joppa Mill and Flint Hill Rd.
