I admire the voters of Wilmington, North Carolina.
They are the people who rejected a ballot measure last Tuesday. Said measure would have increased property taxes in order to pay for a new stadium. Said stadium would have become the new baseball home of the current Lynchburg Hillcats.
The people of Wilmington got to vote on whether they'd be willing to absorb a hike in their real estate taxes in order to bring minor league baseball to their fair city.
