Eagles take to road; head to Patrick County

-A A +A
By Mike Forster

Staunton River will take the long trip to Patrick County this Friday evening, seeking its first victory of the season.

The Cougars, of course, want to avoid playing the role of generous benefactor to the Eagles. More importantly, Patrick County wants to improve its playoff chances at the expense of Staunton River.

As Patrick County is a Division 3 school, a win over the Eagles would give a bonus boost to the Cougars in the playoff math. That proved to be the case last year, as Patrick County snuck into the playoff hunt with a 5-5 record.
