Five apply for District 3 seat

    Five residents in District 3 have applied to fill the Bedford County School Board seat left open when Brad Whorley resigned from the board earlier this year.    
    Deadline for applications was Monday. Those submitting applications included: Jean McKeague of Forest; Dennis Groenke Sr. of Bedford; Eric Thompson of Bedford; Pete Parziale of Forest; and John Hicks of  Evington.
