    Francis M. Bowyer, Jr., 79 of Bedford, passed away Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born on Friday, Aug. 26, 1932 in Bedford Co., a son of the late Francis Molen Bowyer, Sr. and Mary Letha Creasy Bowyer.
    He was a retired employee of Newport News Shipbuilding and was a member of Sedalia Baptist Church.
