As the generally unimpressive field of Republican presidential candidates continues to slug it out for the party's nomination, one person in particular has had to repeatedly soothe feelings about something that's an obsession with too many Republicans: religion.
Even without a Mormon, Mitt Romney, in the race, religion would still be a major topic in a party dominated - "controlled" might even be a better word - by the religious right. It's been well documented that Romney's attempt to win the support of this bloc has been frustrating.
