One day, when I was a younger (and thirstier) man, I stopped at a local tavern.
A sign on the wall caught my eye. It read, “Free beer tomorrow.”
Always looking to pinch pennies, I eagerly anticipated my free brew.
When I showed up the following day, I bellied up to the bar and ordered a draft. “Two bucks,” said the bartender.
“Hey, I thought the beer was free today,” I protested, explaining what I had read the previous day.
