Liberty finally got it into gear after the intermission and went on to beat county rival Jefferson Forest by as score of 61-47. The victory broke a string of two straight years in which the Minutemen lost at Forest.
That streak appeared to have a good chance of being extended. Cav Todd tenPas hit two straight layups near the end of the first half to bring the Cavs within two points and the momentum seemed to be with Forest.
