Local meteorolgist injured in Tuesday morning accident

Jamey Singleton, a meteorologist with WSET Channel 13, was injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Moneta.
According to Virginia State Police, Singleton, who is 34 and resides in Rocky Mount, was traveling north on Va. 122 in a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse when he crossed the center line and hit a Schwan's delivery truck head-on. He was airlifted to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Leo George Jr., 56, of Moneta, the delivery truck's driver, and Joshua Ross, 34, a passenger in the truck, were taken to Roanoke Memorial by ambulance. All three men were wearing seatbelts.
The crash occurred at 9:49 a.m. near the Va. 122 intersection with Stoney Fork Road.
The crash remains under investigation by the Virginia State Police.
