Photo of the Week: Madame Butterfly

  Moneta resident Ty Wasson spotted this swallowtail butterfly alighted upon (what else?) a butterfly bush.  Ty was roaming the gardens of his grandparents, John and Georgianna Pfluger of Bedford, when he noted this colorful scene.  Should you look closely, you’ll notice that Madame Butterfly is using her proboscis to draw nectar from the flower.  In truth, we’re not sure if this is a Madame or Mister Butterfly.  Ty made the shot using his Canon Rebel T1i.
