Recently, I had the great honor of attending a benefit for 28-year old Altavista veteran, Staff Sgt. Christopher Walker, who was critically injured during his second deployment to Afghanistan this spring.

A portrait of bravery, courage, and self-sacrifice, Sgt. Walker represents the finest our country has to offer and being in his presence was a solemn reminder of the sacrifices that brave men and women from small towns like Altavista all across America make each and every day to preserve our freedoms.
