School Board responds to lawsuit, seeks dismissal

    The Bedford County School Board is seeking to have the $20 million lawsuit filed against it by a special education student dismissed, claiming the board can’t legally be sued and that the timeframe for a suit to be filed has expired. The lawsuit claims the student was abused in 2009 by a county bus driver and her aide.
