Sports commentary: Incongruous

 I never thought I’d see the day.

By “the day,” I refer to a time when I lift pen to paper in defense of Roger Clemens.

OK.  I’m really pecking this out on a keyboard.  And, this isn’t a defense, per se.

It is more of a screed about the inanity of what I’m seeing.

Roger Clemens was indicted last week.  The charge is that he lied to the U.S. Congress, in his testimony concerning the usage of steroids and other performance enhancing substances.

He lied to Congress.
