  It was almost a footnote.

Joe Frazier, who lit up the world of sports during the 1970s, passed away last week.  It was barely noticed.

The man who helped bring boxing to the forefront of the nation’s (and the world’s) attention, died and there was barely a wave.

It’s as though he became that guy you never really thought about anymore, until you saw his death notice scroll along the bottom of “Pardon the Interruption” on ESPN.
