Thumbs up to everyone who took the time out last Tuesday to cast their ballots in the local, state and national elections. The 5th District Congressional District race shows just how much your vote counts. As of Tuesday morning that race was separated by just 745 votes, with Democratic challenger Tom Perriello leading incumbent Republican Virgil Goode. If that margin stands, it will work out to less than three votes per precinct being the difference in the race. That's not very many, considering some 126,917 eligible voters didn't show up to vote Tuesday in the District.
