Since Election Day, a number of people have been looking for explanations about why Republicans failed to evict Barack Obama from the White House.
One explanation is that the Republicans’ efforts to rally their base and get them to the polls wasn’t as effective as the “Democrats’” efforts. This explanation appears to have some merit because there are some statistics to back it and, in such a close election, whose base turns out in force can be the deciding factor.
