John Barnhart
This bottle of calvados, a Norman apple brandy, was presented to Earl Draper after surviving a nearly fatal mishap during a parachute jump in 1994. The bottle is etched with the date of D-Day, in French, and the date of the 1994 jump, also in French. There is a pear at the bottom of the bottle.

The National D-Day Memorial Foundation has been accumulating a collection of D-Day related artifacts and documents for nearly 20 years. One of the most unusual is a vintage bottle of Calvados, a Norman apple brandy. The bottle belonged to Earl Draper.
