Thousands of Bedford area residents lost power Thursday—and some for several days after that—the result of the area’s second Derecho in a year.

    Late last June a Derecho brought winds up to 80 miles per hour and last week’s storm featured 70 mph winds. Trees were uprooted, branches were blown off and electrical lines were knocked down as a result of the latest storm.
