If you visit Bella Italia and ask to speak to the owner you will get a surprise. A young man will come out of the kitchen wearing an apron and you may think he’s a waiter. He’s not. That’s Giovanni Baiada and he is the owner.
Actually, he and his aunt, Lori Giambanco, co-own the restaurant. Giambanco owns Lori’s Italian Grill, in Forest, and she helped Baiada get financing for Bella Italia.
“I used to work for her,” Baiada said.
