    The man accused of attacking and robbing Moneta store owner Bob Terry last October was indicted on four felonies last week by a Bedford County Circuit Court grand jury.
    Jason Andrew Shell, 38 of Roanoke, was indicted for aggravated malicious wounding, robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
    During a preliminary hearing in January, two witnesses testified that Shell threatened to kill them if they told who had committed the crime.

A Bedford man charged with the armed robbery of Goode Country Store last March, pleaded guilty Friday in Bedford County Circuit Court to six felonies.

    Jason Anthony Jackson, 32, is scheduled to be sentenced May 8.
    The charges included two counts of robbery, one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, one count of possession of ammunition by a convicted felon, one count of use of a firearm in commission of a felony and one count of wearing a mask in public.

    Bedford County Sheriff Mike Brown and Ernest Grubbs, a former Liberty High School (LHS) school resource officer, are facing a $3 million lawsuit. The suit was filed Friday in Bedford County Circuit Court by Elvin McCombs on behalf of his daughter, Audrey McCombs.

Dan Plattus, who had been serving as interim executive director of Bedford Main Street, has been charged with credit card fraud, according to Bedford Police Chief Jim Day.

    According to Day, on February 2, the Bedford Police Department received a complaint from a local business regarding suspicious credit card charges.  Investigators reviewed documents supplied by the business and interviewed the suspect.
