Seventeen very serious looking elementary and middle school students lined the stage of Liberty High School’s auditorium, Tuesday morning, for Bedford County’s annual spelling bee. All were winners of their respective schools’ spelling bee.
By round six, only two were left. Case Bohannon, a seventh grader from Forest Middle School, and Finn Plattus, a fifth grader from Thaxton Elementary School, then proceeded to battle it out for 21 rounds before Bohannon emerged as the winner.
