Voters in two Bedford County districts, District 2 and District 4, had a choice in local elections when they went to the polls Tuesday. Most selected Edgar Tuck, for District 2 Supervisor, and Marcus Hill, for District 4 School Board member.
Tuck, running as an independent, defeated Brian O'Connor, a Republican, and Fred Sylvester, a Democrat. Tuck received 2,040, accounting for 56 percent of all votes cast. O'Conner got 27 percent of the vote, a total of 972 votes. Sylvester received 17 percent of the vote for a total of 599 votes.
