    On August 7, Bedford County Sheriff’s deputies took a missing person’s report on Katherine Lynn Taylor, 44.

    She is a white female, brown hair, hazel eyes, 5’7”and 110 lbs. She has a unicorn tattoo on her right shoulder and a butterfly tattoo on her right leg.

  • Shameful antics of House Republicans

        Just before the 113th Congress left for its month-long August vacation, House Republicans finally got something done: They voted to sue the president.
        That’s it. And that’s all they’ve got. They’ve accomplished nothing else all year long for the American people.
        The president is to be sued because of executive actions he took to delay some implementations of the new health care law. He has also been cited by Republicans “for doing nothing” on the border crisis.

  • Liberals' antipathy toward Christianity

    I remain convinced that liberals are hostile to Christianity.  Here is just one example of why I’ve come to that conclusion.
        The Obama Administration did its best to force a family owned business called Hobby Lobby to comply with ObamaCare mandates on birth control. Hobby Lobby is not a publicly traded company. It’s entirely owned by David and Barbara Green and their three children.

  • Crash victim to speak at All Women’s Gathering

        Aglow International is hosting an All Women’s Gathering at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church Aug. 22-23. The gathering will feature Jennifer Barrick, of Forest.

        Jennifer, now 22, suffered a traumatic brain injury when she was 15.  Her family’s van was hit head-on by a drunk driver going 80 mph with no lights on although it was dark, seriously injuring the entire family. The van was so mangled the emergency responders had to extricate the family from the vehicle.

    Ed got his shot of this fatigued filly while at the Brook Hill Farm Horse Rescue and Therapeutic Riding Center, in Forest.      This filly was borne to a rescued pregnant mare  at the center.

    Ed told us, "I was shooting chore activities being performed by equestrian students at the barn, when I just happen to see a big yawn and snapped a photo."
