    Pay him his dues

I’m not a Trump supporter, however, I’ll listen and pay him his dues. His hypothetical answer on whether a woman should be punished “IF” abortion was illegal; his answer was correct. If it’s against the law to have an abortion a woman should be punished. But it’s not the law.

    Fresh Air
    volunteers

National Volunteer Week marks a special time of year for The Fresh Air Fund, and I would like to take this opportunity to extend my sincere thanks to our wonderful Fresh Air volunteers, hosts and supporters in Greater Lynchburg. Their continued dedication to our New York City children is exemplary for all community members and truly embodies the spirit of the 2016 National Volunteer Week, which is from April 10th to April 16th.

    What about
    the custodians?

I work for Bedford County Schools. I worked for a number of years at Forest Elementary School. We had a great staff and leadership. I’m now in charge of custodians at BSTC which is another great school, staff and leadership.

    Is sheriff a
    relative?

I have not renewed my Bulletin subscription for several reasons.
I was born in Bedford in 1932 and apparently have outlived most of my friends and family to the point I do not recognize names in The Bulletin anymore.

    Christians
    and guns

Recently Mr. Rick Howell wrote  about Christians and guns that deserves a thoughtful response.

    Straight Outa Bedford?

Straight Outa Bedford? Are we that dangerous a place?
I guess the newly elected Supervisor Tommy Scott is trying to make a name for himself, calling for the county to allow permitted county workers to carry concealed handguns at work. Not a good idea.

    A return to
    Southern Civility

When Robin and I chose Bedford as our final home, she was returning to her hereditary roots and we both were getting a small town like where we grew up.
