We did it! We lost more in Season 4

Season 4 came and went with 26 participants, some of who were in previous “Biggest Loser in Bedford” sessions. It all is due to this wonderful idea of a healthier life style, versus just a “diet.” Diets come and go but those who attended this year’s “Biggest Loser” can attest to its success, especially those who have attended in the past three seasons.

    Thanks BCSO

I want to take a moment to thank the Bedford Country Sheriff’s Office for their handling of the recent wave of car break-ins in our neighborhood.  The Sheriff’s office used reverse 911 calls to alert us to the  problem, patrolled the area regularly,  and then called again to let us know that the person(s) they think are responsible have been apprehended.

    Time to cut back

It’s time the government cuts back on spending like everyone else is doing. Now is not the time for a property tax increase with the cost of everything going up!
A lot of cuts could be made, especially in the school system. Most of the schools have a principal and two or three assistants at some ridiculously high salaries. Why so many assistants to the assistants?

    Coming together

Every so often you hear of communities coming together during a crisis.  With  the events on February 10, the Huddleston community did this by coming  together to assist in a fire that partially destroyed the home of Haden,  Cyndi, Kevin and Kimberly Nichols on Bethesda Road.

    Support Bedford Primary School

It has come to my attention that the Bedford County Department of Education (School Board) is planning on moving the executive offices from their present location into the  Bedford Primary School (BPS) location.

    Thanks for cleanup

I would like to thank Darryl McPeters, Danny Orange, and Art Reed for cleaning up the trees thrown down the slopes on Murray Hollow Road, 43 to be exact. Since last year. Our road looks so much better.
