Appreciate response

    We are writing again to thank linesmen and crews from City of Bedford Electric for their prompt response to outages during recent storms.
    Over the years and through difficult circumstance they have always exhibited courage, skill and dedication to their customers. We are lucky to have such fine people working on our behalf.
    Thanks again for continued excellence. Keep up the good work.

Women voters

    53.5% of the voters are Women; that means that 46.5% of the voters are men. For every million who vote 535,000 are women and they favor Obama by 12% to 14%; Men favor Romney by 10%.
    What this means it’s hard to make up the difference in number of votes. Try doing the math.

    Meet John Douglass.
    Brigadier General John Douglass (Ret) of Virginia, has thrown his cap into the political arena and come out of retirement to serve the Congressional 5th District, his state and his country one more time.

    Congratulations  to a young man in 11th grade at Staunton River High School.
    In Downtown Moneta this past weekend, the rescue squad had to be called to assist and transport a lady that had severe muscle spasms which also affected her breathing. She was Spanish and spoke no English.
