    Journey of
    discovery

I’ll start out by admitting that I no longer buy your newspaper; I no longer read any print media as it overwhelmingly promotes the progressive agenda, but since you sent me a free one I read it.

    Unfortunate
    portrayal

After watching “Lincoln” tonight at the local theater in Lynchburg, I came away greatly disturbed by the portrayal of The President.

    Appreciate response

We are writing again to thank linesmen and crews from City of Bedford Electric for their prompt response to outages during recent storms.
Over the years and through difficult circumstance they have always exhibited courage, skill and dedication to their customers. We are lucky to have such fine people working on our behalf.
Thanks again for continued excellence. Keep up the good work.

    Top story?

        I’m baffled.
On page one of the November 14 Bedford Bulletin, in the apparent top story of the week, Staff Writer John Barnhart reports on changes to the school board and the city council—interesting news.
But in the same edition, buried on page six, the ubiquitous staff writer plainly informs us the sky is falling.
Isn’t that a bigger story? Doesn’t it deserve front-page coverage?

    Supports Hicks

I write to support Dr. John Hicks for the District 3 seat on the Bedford County School Board.
John Hicks graduated from the University of Georgia.  He later earned a master’s degree in education from Lynchburg College and doctorate in education from the University of Virginia.

    Women voters

53.5% of the voters are Women; that means that 46.5% of the voters are men. For every million who vote 535,000 are women and they favor Obama by 12% to 14%; Men favor Romney by 10%.
What this means it’s hard to make up the difference in number of votes. Try doing the math.

    I apologize

I must apologize to the citizens of the Second District of Bedford County.
I have been very privileged to have received your vote to represent you on the Bedford County Board of Supervisors.  It was an honor you gave me and I tried to fulfill it as I tried to represent you and all of Bedford County during my time on the Board.

    Insulted by Romney

I am insulted by Mitt Romney.
I am part of the 47 percent whose vote he will never get, but I do not feel victimized or entitled to government assistance.
