    Supports Messier, Willis and Dolley

After four years of constant failure from our current Board of Supervisors, Bedford voters will soon have a chance to hold their elected officials accountable for closed schools, poor treatment of County employees, and a Supervisor pay raise to the tune of 31.5%. My neighbors, I encourage you to select John Messier, Kevin Willis, and Andy Dooley when you go to the polls on June 9 for the Republican Primary. Here’s why.

    Counting our blessings at BCM

Today was a day for counting our blessings at Bedford Christian Ministries.
With the winds howling outside and winter returning this week, some of the volunteers at BCM were sorting and storing the latest donation of food.  While these 1200 lbs. of food came from the food drive recently conducted by the Bedford Walmart, we have been receiving both food and cash donations from many and varied sources in the Bedford community.

Let’s say that you are a parent of three children who are all of college age.  Let’s call them Jeff, Libby and Stan.
Jeff has been in touch with a prestigious university.  A representative from this school has told Jeff that, if he applies and is accepted, the school will pay the full cost of his attendance:  tuition, books, room and board.

After 13 years of service, how am I to convince myself that it will improve in Bedford?

    Pay raise

There is still a 31.5 percent pay raise sitting in the county budget for the Bedford County Board of Supervisors.

    Supporting law enforcement

        2015?
We are one race, the human race. The way we think separates and divides us. The demonization of law enforcement that is seemingly becoming more pervasive in our nation should not be happening. This is 2015, we are one half century beyond 1965, or are we?

    Following the founding Fathers

I wish to respond to the article written by Mr. Rick Howell, Obama Acts Correctly on Immigration (The Bedford Bulletin, 26 November 2014).
