  • Session will feature some 2000 pieces of legislation

The General Assembly is back in session, ready for another year.  A lot has changed since we last met.  November’s elections have not only affected policy in our nation’s capitol, they have already changed the dynamic in Richmond.

  • 2017 Session opens

    By Delegate Terry Austin

The 2017 Session of the Virginia General Assembly was called to order on Wednesday, January 12.  The session will run for 46 days, ending on February 25.
It promises to be a busy and fast moving session, full of issues important to the citizens of the 19th District.  It is for that reason that I enter the session with unbridled enthusiasm and energy, fully dedicated to resolving important issues in a way that serves the best interests of our citizens.

  • A lot can be accomplished in 46 days

    By Senator Steve Newman

I am delighted to be back in Richmond to represent you and the rest of my Virginia Senate district.  Once again this year I have the honor of serving as the President pro tempore of the Senate, which means I have the privilege of filling in the Lt. Governor in his absence and helping to lead the Senate.

  • How we repeal and replace Obamacare

Unaffordable premiums, deductibles through the roof, losing a doctor you’ve had for years, being dropped from the coverage you need – these are just some of the ways Obamacare isn’t working for Virginians. No amount of patches or delays can resuscitate Obamacare from its failures. The calls, letters, and emails I’ve received about what families, seniors, and businesses have experienced only emphasize this fact. That is exactly why Congress is getting to work on the process to repeal and replace this law.

  • A better foreign policy

One of the things people, who don’t like Donald Trump, have been fretting about is his ability to carry out foreign policy. I think Trump’s foreign policy will be an improvement on what we’ve had under President Obama. Of course, it won’t be hard to do better than President Obama as his conduct of foreign affairs has been totally incompetent. However, I think Trump has a better intuitive grasp of foreign leaders that his opponents give him credit for having.

  • Join the Resistance on Jan. 19!

We are bearing down upon Inauguration Day, when the tragic results of The Great Stupidity of 2016 come to fruition.
For the angry whites who did so much to make this happen, it will be a day of vengeful triumph against eight years of the black Muslim socialist they’ve painfully endured. (This is what they believe, whether they’d admit it or not.)

  • The 7 Billion and you

    By Brandi Mitchell

There are 7 billion people on this planet. 7 billion different faces, 7 billion distinct minds with different senses of humor, different interests, different talents, different laughs.
An earth populated with humans vastly different and incredible in 7 billion extraordinary ways, but who share the same moon, the same sun, the same ground, the same burdens of humanity. All of these people wandering the same earth.
