  • No more free passes

A free pass at Disney World is one thing, but a free pass for nations wishing to destroy our way of life has no place in America’s foreign policy. In President Obama’s final State of the Union address, he spoke at length about looking toward the future. There is nothing more important to the future than protecting the United States from the threats of hostile nations like North Korea and Iran. However, the Obama Administration’s foreign policy is giving them a free pass.

    Unfair?

Whether or not you support Donald Trump for President, aren’t you tired of the drama?
I believe every eligible voter has a right to support whomever he or she pleases.  However, may I suggest that you become informed as to how and why the process works the way it does.

    Pay him his dues

I’m not a Trump supporter, however, I’ll listen and pay him his dues. His hypothetical answer on whether a woman should be punished “IF” abortion was illegal; his answer was correct. If it’s against the law to have an abortion a woman should be punished. But it’s not the law.

    Fresh Air
    volunteers

National Volunteer Week marks a special time of year for The Fresh Air Fund, and I would like to take this opportunity to extend my sincere thanks to our wonderful Fresh Air volunteers, hosts and supporters in Greater Lynchburg. Their continued dedication to our New York City children is exemplary for all community members and truly embodies the spirit of the 2016 National Volunteer Week, which is from April 10th to April 16th.

  • Failed policy

While President Obama was busy in Cuba making nice with the human-rights breaking Castro regime, Muslim terrorists were at work in Belgium bringing havoc to that country and the rest of Europe.

    What about
    the custodians?

I work for Bedford County Schools. I worked for a number of years at Forest Elementary School. We had a great staff and leadership. I’m now in charge of custodians at BSTC which is another great school, staff and leadership.

    Is sheriff a
    relative?

I have not renewed my Bulletin subscription for several reasons.
I was born in Bedford in 1932 and apparently have outlived most of my friends and family to the point I do not recognize names in The Bulletin anymore.
