After checking with the city library the following information was provided. Noticing that Robert C. Sarvis, is again, running as a third-party I am very concerned that he is going to spoil another election.
Records indicate that in 2011 Robert C. Sarvis ran, unopposed, in the 35th District as a Republican in the senate race against Democrat Dick Saslaw, and lost.
Kudos to Bedford Parks and Rec.
Many times it is easy to complain about things, but this letter is to praise the new Parks and Rec administration.
Since they recently took over, there have been more activities such as bus trips, cards, bingo and classes and new activities and events also like a picnic in the park.
Come on people, it only works if y’all take advantage of what’s offered.
Call Parks and Rec for more info.
Ukraine has dropped out of the headlines now that we have been launching airstrikes against Islamic State in Syria and Iraq. That doesn’t mean everything has settled down there, nor does it mean that calls, from some quarters, for the United States to get involved haven’t stopped.
I want to thank Mr. Hatchworth for another ‘rant’ filled response...never lets us down. Seems like it’s just my lucky week again...I am in town from a long haul and get to read the never ending saga of The Lone Hackworth vs Sheriff Brown.
Hurray for Sheriff Brown. He has received another award, gotten his picture in the paper for more undeserved recognition.
The article goes on to say that the award is given “to an individual in recognition of their contributions to and support of the National Sheriff’s Association President.” This means you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours.
As the Bedford County School Board moves to make cuts in it's budget, again more schools are facing the real probability of closing next year. This time it will either be Thaxton Elementary or Bedford Primary that will be axed by the board.
