  • Some of Hillary’s deplorables

Hillary Clinton recently called Trump supporters a basket of deplorables. Personally, I think it would be a badge of honor to be called “deplorable” by something as vile as Hillary Clinton. I wonder who all are in her basket of deplorables? Maybe the one union that she declined to seek support from will give us a clue.

  • Fixing the VA

America’s veterans put their lives on the line for us. Throughout the history of our nation, brave men and women have faced great danger to protect the freedoms that set us apart from the world. Our veterans served us, and when they return home, it’s our turn to serve them.

  • Chairman Update

    Steve Wilkerson
Chairman, Bedford County Board of Supervisors

  • Trump supporters ‘deplorable?’ Oh, yeah

The big news in the presidential race last week was Donald Trump’s admission that, yes, Barack Obama, our 44th president, duly elected twice by the American people, was actually born in this country.
Apparently, Trump is now willing to let Obama and his family stay in the country, since he’s determined, once and for all, the president’s origins. It remains a mystery how and why he thinks this holy mission fell upon him, but, you know, we’re dealing with Donald Trump here, so who knows?

  • Some good ideas

Bedford County Public Schools is in the process of updating its strategic plan. Dr. Douglas Schuch, the school division’s superintendent, unveiled a draft at this month’s regular school board meeting.

    Republicans made a good choice

Cheers to the Republican Party of Virginia for voting for a primary rather than a mass meeting to select their 2017 candidates!
