    I had a couple of days off at the end of last week, so coming back to work on Monday had more than the usual challenges, such as going through all e-mails that came in to my work e-mail. I also had to figure out if I brought myself to work with me when I left the house, but I finally figured out that I did. A new computer was also installed, so I spent some time making sure that everything was OK and that I could still connect to the file server.

    Back in January I saw an ad in a farm publication about the world’s greatest agriculture show.
    I looked up the location on Google Earth and realized that it was located in Tulare County which is in the Central Valley of California. Tulare is the number one agricultural county in the nation and I wanted to see why. I’m not into high tech but thanks to a cousin and my daughter all the travel arrangements, airline, rental car, and motel were made over the Internet.

Assistant Attorney General Thomas Perez will face a number of questions over the next several days during his confirmation hearings in the Senate.  Many of those questions will revolve around recent reports of Mr. Perez’s mismanagement at the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice (DOJ), as well as a secret backroom deal he made that cost American taxpayers millions of dollars. The laundry list of his questionable actions continues to grow.
