  • The ethanol mandate has failed

Families are gassing up the car to head out of town, fueling up the boat for a weekend at the lake, and getting out the mower to tackle the lawn. But do you know the impact ethanol has on all of these activities? According to the Department of Energy, ethanol contains about one-third less energy than gasoline, meaning the more ethanol in your fuel, the less mileage a tank of gas will get you. Plus, ethanol has been found to damage or corrode many small engines found in power equipment, motorcycles, or boats. The result?

  • A free press threatened

The Virginia Press Association sent out a response to the presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump’s decision to ban the Washington Post from covering his campaign.

  • Russia won’t invade the Baltics

While the Islamic terrorist attack in Orlando, Florida, consumed last week’s news cycle, the Baltic States put themselves on a war footing. These tiny states, and Poland, are seriously afraid that Russia is going to invade them.
Russia is not going to invade the Baltic States or Poland. These are NATO nations and Russia is not ready for a war of the scale that a war involving NATO would be.

  • Va. Democrats unite in Richmond

This past weekend, Democrats from across the state gathered in Richmond to nominate the remaining delegates for the national convention in Philadelphia, hear speeches from party elected leaders, and, of course, –  the easy part – bash Donald Trump.

  • Countering homegrown terrorism

It was an act of pure evil. On what should have been a quiet Sunday morning, Americans instead woke to the jarring news of a deadly terrorist attack in Orlando. As a nation, we join the Orlando community and the families of the victims in mourning those who were lost and praying for healing. Sadly, it is the latest in a string of terror attacks here in America – plots that have not been carried out by foreign terrorists but by Americans, against Americans, on American soil. It is a stark reminder that the radical beliefs of terrorist groups, like ISIS, are a threat to our freedoms.

    Supports Hillary Clinton for President

I support Hillary Clinton for President. Why, you might ask.
Ninety-six years ago women in this country gained the right to vote, yet representation of women in public office has been anemic. Women constitute 51% of the population and our voices and perspective need to be represented in all governmental positions, including the presidency.

    God was
    with him

Praise The Lord – Prayers were answered. I prayed all day for God to put Timothy where people could see him, others prayed too. Thank God for He did just that.
