There are wins and there are statement wins.
Jefferson Forest’s volleyball team made one of the latter this past Thursday evening, when it pounded top rival E.C. Glass.
Two good teams squared off in Bedford last Friday night.
One of them played a great game. It won.

That’s because the Jefferson Forest volleyball squad made quick work of Staunton River.

That was a big-boy win.
Staunton River showed poise and aggression in taking it to cross-county rival Jefferson Forest, 21-7.
It seemed like June 14.
That date, of course, is when we commemorate Flag Day.
