I enjoy walking around town. What I don’t particularly enjoy are the near-misses that I endure at the hands of automobile drivers. Seems some folk haven’t been told that “pedestrian zone” does NOT mean a place in which you target pedestrians.
I recently received promo materials for the Clicker, a device that combines a universal remote with a bottle opener. It’s catch phrase reads: “Leaving the couch to open your beer is so 2010.”
Sometimes, less is more.
“There’s nothing to do around here.”
I received (yet) another goofy press release today. This one described the excitement generated by the naming of the stadium the New York Giants and New York Jets share.
Mid-stroke in my shaving routine, I heard the dulcet tones of the wife. They sang, “I don’t know why they’re not making a bigger deal about Jim Toam.”
“Crying? There’s no crying in baseball!”
These are the so-called Dog Days: the hottest, stickiest days of the year.
There’s a situation developing in the great state of Oregon which merits discussion.
To my knowledge, Bedford does not have an official city or county motto.
