    Liberty HS girls soccer picked up two shutout wins  against Brookville and Amherst to move to 6-3 overall this season.
        

  • Jefferson Forest tennis takes...

    Jefferson Forest boys tennis captured second place at the Heritage Invitational.
        

    The tournament was played from April 28-30 and consisted of four teams: Heritage, Brookville, Randolph Henry and Jefferson Forest.
        

    The Cavs grabbed second place with a total of 18 points, three ahead of Brookville in third. Heritage nabbed first place with 21 points and Randolph Henry rounded out the competition in fourth.

    Fast forward to today, the 21-year-old Liberty alumna is now the head coach.
        

    Liberty’s girls tennis program holds a special place in Karnes heart, as it was the place where she learned to play the game she describes as one of the biggest passions in her life.

    Jefferson Forest’s softball team couldn’t be stopped, as it drove in a stunning 33 runs combined between their April 26 game with Liberty Christian Academy and April 28 contest against Heritage.
        

    In its first game of the week, the Cavs exploded in the second inning with 13 runs. This big inning came as JF batted through its entire lineup twice. Marlie Hill, Olivia Fox and Skylar Jenkins all notched two hits in the second, with Hill and Fox grabbing two singles and Jenkins knocking out two doubles.

    Cavalier Fishing has made an impressive statement in just its first year of competing.
        

    The teams of Robert Parker/Harrison Rice and Ethan Robinson/Spence Francis qualified for the 2017 JSC High School Championship after placing first and fourth at a regional tournament in late March.
        

    The fishing rules of this tournament were: five fish allowed in the fishers’ livewell, two of them having to be 14-inch and three could be 12-inch.
