Let there be no questions about it. When the state AA basketball tournament kicks off this weekend, the Liberty boys will be the top-seeded team out of Region III.
The Staunton River girls continued with their storybook season, as they punched their ticket to the state tournament. That trip comes with being the second-place finisher in Region III.
I’d like to recommend the cancellation of any future Seminole District basketball tournaments.
I doubt that idea will get much traction, but I’ll still put it out there.
