The 11th Annual HIGHER Ground Women’s Leadership Conference

11/03/2017 - 7:30am - 5:00pm

The VCU Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute will host its 11th Annual HIGHER Ground Women's Leadership Conference on Friday November 3, 2017, from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm at The Greater Richmond Convention Center.

How leaders understand and share their narratives shapes how they make sense of the world. To be transformational leaders, we must stay grounded in who we are as individuals while working to weave a collective narrative that honors the experiences of everyone. The 11th Annual HIGHER Ground Women’s Leadership Conference acknowledges the power of the narrative to shape perceptions and decisions about ourselves and our communities. Through our stories, we creatively live out experiences; we remember our past and interpret our futures; we convince ourselves and each other; and we can be positively impacted when we allow ourselves to share our stories. Join us for this one-day event to explore the ways we envision, create, and sustain personal and professional growth through the stories we tell and receive with others.

The Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute is a center of the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs. For more information, please visit our website: gehli.vcu.edu/conference or contact us at 804-827-1169 or gehli@vcu.edu.
