County to fly POW/MIA flags

-A A +A
By Kelly Krause

The Bedford County Board of Supervisors unanimously took action Monday to fly the POW/MIA flag at all county facilities.
The action was taken following a citizen request last month by Salvatore Monastra, a Vietnam veteran, who asked the county to start flying the POW/MIA flag under the American Flag on all flagpoles.
“I want to see it flown 365 days a year,” commented District 6 Supervisor Andy Dooley. Dooley is a Vietnam veteran.
