Update on River Oak Drive murder investigation; suspects arrested

On Monday evening September 10, Bedford County Sheriff’s Office investigators arrested Nadia La-sha McDaniel, 21. She is presently charged with breaking and entering, while armed with a firearm, with the intent to commit robbery.
This charge stems from the homicide of Aaron Brumfield in Bedford County on Friday September 7. She is being held in the Blue Ridge Regional Jail in Bedford without bond. Additional charges against McDaniel are possible as the investigation continues.
Last Friday, Sept. 7, Bedford County 911 received a call from 1034 River Oak Dr. at 11:44 p.m.by a male subject stating that his roommate had been shot. According to a report from the BCSO, a Bedford County deputy arrived on scene at 11:50 p.m. and found a male subject in the floor with multiple gunshots to his body.
Deputies started CPR until Rescue arrived and took over.
Aaron Robert Brumfield, 22, 1034 River Oak Dr. Forest was pronounced dead by the rescue squad at 12:06 a.m. A witness stated that three people came into the house and gunfire was exchanged hitting the male victim. The witness stated that the suspects then ran out the side door. Bedford County Sheriff's investigators have also obtained a warrant for Trevor James McIntosh, 23, charging him with the second degree murder of Aaron Brumfield.
Wednesday evening, Sept. 12, Bedford County Sheriff's investigators identified suspect #1 as Tevante Deshawn Pannell, 23, of Evington. Thursday morning, Sept. 13, Trevor J. McIntosh, 23, was arrested in Lynchburg and served with the Bedford County warrant for the second degree murder of Aaron Brumfield.
On Friday morning September 14, 2018, Robert Du’rille Goodman was arrested in Campbell County and charged with the second degree murder of Aaron Brumfield.
The fourth suspect Trevante Pannell was arrested in Bedford County Friday afternoon.
All four suspects are being held in the Blue Ridge Regional Jail without bond.
On Thursday, Robert Du'rille Goodman, 18, of Altavista was Id'd as a suspect. Arrest warrants were obtained for both Pannell and Goodman for the second degree murder of Aaron Brumfield.
Additional charges against all four of the individuals arrested in this investigation are possible as the investigation evolves. Bedford County Sheriff's Office investigators with the assistance of the United States Marshals Services Fugitive Team, Lynchburg Police Department, Altavista Police Department and Campbell County Sheriff's Office continue to search for Pannell and Goodman, who remain at large.
