The Golden Eagles knew they had their work cut out for them when they traveled to take on Northside (8-0, 2-0) on Friday, October 12.

Northside, who has not lost a game since Staunton River ended their season in the VHSL playoffs last year, is just as good as their record states.

Jefferson Forest’s highly anticipated matchup with Seminole District and Region 4D rival E.C. Glass fell on October 12, one day off of the universally, spooky Friday the 13th. But, the result of Friday’s game may haunt the Cavaliers.

Throughout the course of the season it has almost been routine for the Jefferson Forest Cavaliers to post lopsided scores that fit well in the category of blowout.

Last season Liberty won its first two games before dropping every Seminole District game of the season. On Friday, October 12 the Minutemen were in search of their first district win since October 28, 2016, nearly two years. Liberty traveled to winless Amherst County to take on the Lancers and get that win.
